Maggy Hawk ‘Jolie’ Pinot Noir, 2021
The northern half of Anderson Valley – what locals call The Deep End – is typically shrouded in a thick fog that rolls in from the nearby Mendocino coastline. Here, our Maggy Hawk Vineyard is tucked away among the valley’s rolling hillsides, surrounded by redwoods. We take inspiration from this beautiful cool climate region
Silky and refined, this 2021 ‘Jolie’ vintage is like red velvet. The aromas start this sensual wine off with fresh, ripe strawberry and rose petal. The wine continues with chocolate raspberry, cassis, and luxardo cherry, with a hint of cedar on the palate. A bright acidity up front melts away on the finish and leaves with well-integrated tannins.
