Purple Hands

Native to Oregon vineyards and farmland, owners Cody and Marque Wright are most intrigued by wines that reveal the history of their native landscape. Cody, our winemaker, has been in the cellar his whole life, with stints at home and abroad—following in his family’s footsteps. His father is Ken Wright, owner and winemaker of Ken Wright Cellars in Carlton, Oregon. His mother is Corby Stonebraker Soles owner and general manager of Roco Winery with her husband and winemaker Rollin Soles. Cody grew up working in his family business’s from the winery to the vineyard and went on to graduate with environmental science degrees from the University of Oregon in 2003. In 2005 at 25 years old Cody founded Purple Hands Winery with 250 cases. 5 years later Marque joined Cody and together there guidance and focus on quality create the foundation of the company. 14 vintages later with lots of help from their families and friends Purple Hands Winery works with three estate vineyards and sources from the most acclaimed vineyards in Oregon.
